Roles and advantages
Take advantage of
- ONE AND A HALF HOURS OF SPANISH LESSON PER DAY including instruction materials (three books and practice material) for the student, all at no charge.
- IYÖK AMI offers volunteers a long hiking trek, from the mountain to the coast at Manuel Antonio National Park. This trip lasts three days and is, of course, optional. More details are provided upon arrival at IYÖK AMI
- Volunteer work consists of reforestation, working to stop erosion, protecting our area’s flora and fauna, and working to decrease wind speed, which in turn protects and increases our ecosystem's water flows and oxygen levels. Equally important is the building and maintenance of trails through the forest which provide access to interested parties, i.e. students, scientists, and nature lovers. The trails allow scientists (ornithologists, naturalists, botanists, geographers, anthropologists, hydrologists, etc.) to experience these rare habitats and study the ecosystem in its natural state with minimal damage to the environment.
