Welcome to Jobsplitters
Hi and welcome to the first newsletter from Jobsplitters. The aim of this edition is to introduce the website and give some background information as to what our aims and ambitions are. Firstly, Jobsplitters has the aim of helping people to find affordable voluntary projects which are socially and environmentally productive. Moreover we aim to find paid and unpaid internships across the world which allows people to travel and develop new interests whilst expanding their experience for future careers.
Many of the placements you will find on the site give you free accommodation and food in return for a few weeks work on the project. This means volunteers can travel to countries such as America, paying only for their flight. Consequently this allows for the opportunity to experience another country and meet people from around the world. This often leads to friendships being made giving the possibility for future travel to visit friends again in countries abroad, which is a much more affordable and fun way to go explore other countries!
The Jobsplitters website will constantly be updated with new projects and placements, linking people to placements which are affordable and flexible. For those in their last year of university, a gap year or simply with a few weeks to spare, it is well worth gaining experience whilst having a great time. The website is designed so that you can search for experience in the explore placements tag cloud. For example you can search for marketing experience, at the same time as searching for work with animals. This allows for you to work with something you are passionate about whilst enhancing your CV in your desired area!
So if this sounds interesting, browse through our website and feel free to ask any questions in our forums, or alternatively send us an email! mike@jobsplitters.co.uk
